With North Shore's season wrapped up, now's a good time for members of the team to go home, relax, and enjoy life off the field! Last offseason, Swiss wasn't able to do much with draft prep, moving to Auckland, interviews, and all the other craziness that comes with being a prospect. However, this offseason was Swiss' first where they had all the time in the world and all the money they'd need. Perhaps they could go to a wine tasting event, visit a couple indoor malls, try whale watching, go to Auckland's famous Sky Tower, and explore other various activities around the city. With so many possibilities and memories waiting to be made, Swiss knew exactly what they needed to do:
Go to the North Shore practice facility and try out the new freezer they had worked with management to have installed in the building.
The world was a scary place for a slice of cheese and if there's one thing a goalkeeper hates, it's unnecessary risk. What if Swiss were to attend one of those wine tasting events and sustain a career-altering injury? What if they got caught jaywalking and landed in legal trouble that reflected badly on the team? Or what if they just spent a bit too much time out in the sun and got kind of crusty and gross looking (an ever-present risk for many kinds of cheese)? All of these were concerns that ran through Swiss' mind and they wouldn't stand for any of it. Fortunately, the freezer solves many of these issues. It's quite difficult to get injured or in legal trouble while you're in a cryogenically-induced nap, and this would be a very nice way to keep Swiss Cheese refrigerated and fresh for next season. Team management also assured Cheese that they'll take them out the night before the first preseason match so they can properly thaw out before game time. Unfortunately this means Swiss will be unavailable for media sessions and fan event appearances over the offseason, but they believe it'll be worth it when fans get to see them fresh as ever at the start of next season.
