S27 Off-season post (late)

Off-Season

Congratulations to Shanghai FC, CA Buenos Aires, AS Paris and Cairo City for winning their respective league championships and to Liffeyside Celtic FC for winning the SSL Cup!

This past Monday October 19 marked the start of the official off-season period.

Pending FA period
Any player that is on an expiring contract (no contract signed for TODO S28) is considered a Pending Free Agent at the start of the off-season. Organizations may at that time contact a Pending FA and negotiate a contract.

Any Pending FA is not officially a Free Agent until the start of the next season thus they may still sign an extension with their current team during the off-season week without reducing the team's transfer budget. We just have to make one thing clear: A manager may not force a player to provide intent to sign. This week is intended for players to be able to talk to teams and be shown alternatives for how their future may look.

Re-rolls and redistribution
S26 players have one last chance this week to submit a re-roll and S27 players have one last chance to use their redistribution for their player via the portal.

Seasonal Change
If you want to retire but still have a corpse season for your player, you need to wait until the start of the next season. Any player retiring during the off-season is retired at the end of the week and will not get a corpse season.

Due to the changes with the portal, the new draft class will officially start up on October 26 with the start of the new season. Any players created during the week of October 19 to October 25 will not be approved until the following week.

SSL Prospect Draft and Next Draft Class
We are also gearing up for the SSL Prospect that is set to take place on October 25.

Regression and Portal
Regression will be run shortly and the resulting TPE will be directly removed from each affected player's TPE total. A regression post will be published on the forum which will also indicate players that are automatically retired.

The deadline for regressing your player in the portal is October 30..
