SHL and SSL

We are pleased to announce the SSL's first official proper two-way affiliation league, the Simulation Hockey League (SHL). The Simulation Hockey League is, as the name implies, a forum dedicated to simulation hockey and has done so for the past 10+ years. The forum consists of two main leagues, the SHL and the junior/developmental league SMJHL, with 34 teams in total and over 500 players. The forum also has international tournaments for senior (IIHF) and junior (WJC) players occurring during each off-season, so there is always something exciting to be a part of.

This official affiliation means that you are now able to use PTs from the SSL as an affiliate for the SHL, but more information about those details will be announced on the SHL forum soon.

S66 SMJHL Draft

The S66 SMJHL Draft is almost upon us and if you like the SSL, you will probably enjoy the SHL as well. Even if you’re not into hockey yet, give us a try! Similar to the SSL, you’ll create your player and improve them through activity checks, point tasks, and the like. It’s a familiar system, so you can hit the ground running.

Why join the SHL?

A legendary league. We’ve got 20 major and 14 minor league teams and plenty of roster space for new users! The league is currently gearing up for its 65th season. Players created right now (prior to May 7th) will enter the league eligible for the SMJHL Draft and players created after will be created as free agents, able to sign with any SMJHL team - no need to worry about a draft or waivers. Find your team and get on the ice! You could be the difference that takes your team to the championship!

Non-stop excitement. Watch your player in action live, 6 days a week! With a 66 game schedule in the regular season and six weeks to complete them, there is always something to look forward to or get excited about! The league uses Franchise Hockey Manager 6 to run the simulations, so you’ll have an incredible depth and complexity to your player’s attributes that will allow you to feel unique and be an asset to your team.
