The SSL has come leaps in bound since it first started 4 seasons ago. It truly has started to feel like a “world league” with some of the biggest cities in the world being able to have a team at the highest level of play. Looking at wikipedia’s top ten cities by population. Many are covered already. The leader Tokyo has a team, Sao Paulo has a team, Cairo has a team. Missing from the top 10 list is major Chinese and Indian cities. But we’re gonna take the SSL to a place where football has never gone before. Bangladesh. Now, Bangladesh is famous to me because the famous FM streamer Zealand featured them as the worst “real country” in international football. So we will be putting a team in Dhaka. To promote the game to over 160 million people who live there (and maybe unseat cricket as the most popular sport). Now for the team name and branding. Maybe move away from the typical Football Club or Sports Club. Maybe move into something fun. Borussia Dhaka seems to have a nice ring to it. It sort of covers the base that there is a German team missing from the league as well. A nice green and red color scheme to match the nation's flag. Now Southeast Asia has a nice representative to the world’s league. A good place to tap into the Indian and Indonesian markets. Maybe link with a local cricket team for extra visibility and help branding. Of course you have to go with a Tiger on the badge. And as a mascot. It really is the only animal that makes sense. Maybe something nice a clean like Dortmund’s logo, but with a tiger on it. Oh and of course spend billions making a massive cricket/football stadium with all sorts of interactive things for fans.
