Jerry Svichi was born in Romania, which some people refer to as "The Country of Gates". Named for a friend of his father, Jerry grew up an avid fan of soccer, and despite being from Romania, his favorite team is located in Spain, at a small club in Badalona. He made it his goal in life to one day be good enough that he could play in Badalona, even if it was just once. He went and joined a local travel soccer team where he found that his passion was scoring goals, and lots of them, which is when he started training to be a forward. At the early stages, he just trained to be a striker, but as time went on, he also elected to go learn how to play as an attacking midfielder, as a Shadow Striker. The name Shadow Striker just sounded like a really cool role to learn, and sounded menacing.
After years of training, and years of traveling around Romania playing youth soccer, it is finally Jerry Svichi's time. His time to come to the SSL, enter the draft and make a name for himself. There may not be a team in Badalona in the SSL, but that doesn't mean he has to give up everything that he worked for, every day of waking up early, every day of running out onto the pitch, kicking a ball into a net, running over, grabbing it, bringing it back to the spot, and then trying a different kind of shot, whether it be at a new angle or aiming for a different spot. He worked his entire life to get here, and he is not going to let the opportunity pass him by. He is going to get the crowd chanting his name, he is going to have announcers shouting "He's got Jerry!" And besides, just because there's not a team in Badalona now, doesn't mean that there can't be one in the future. And maybe, JUST MAYBE, he'll be able to finally play there.
