Visser's First Goal
#1
Throughout Visser's entire football career, he has been known for two things: his incredible speed, and his phenomenal ability to cross the ball to his teammates inside the box. One thing he is most certainly not known for is his scoring. Up until match day 6 of season 5, Visser had put up 14 assists in his career, and a whopping total of 0 goals. It's not for a lack of luck either, his xG over his career was just barely over 1.

That is, until Tokyo's match against Athenai. With the team trailing 1-0 at the 33 minute mark, Tokyo was starting to up the pressure on offense, allowing Visser to move into a more forward role. Usually in this situation, Visser will do one of two things. Either he dribbles the ball forward himself, looking for a pass inside the box. Or he waits for a pass from one of his teammates, and then he will look to pass. This time was different. It is unknown what it was that possessed Visser to join his teammates inside the box. It is equally uncertain where he got the burst of inspiration to decide to volley the ball towards the net.

After Sky Ryze lobbed a pass forward to Kaido, Visser drove directly towards the goal, waiting for a pass. He knew this was his moment. That's when the pass came. The ball left Kaido's foot and sailed in the air towards Visser. Time seemed to slow, and Visser's mind flashed back to all the times he messed up an opportunity to score. The ball soared over over head of Athenai's Lind, towards the foot of Visser. It was a perfect pass, one that Visser knew he couldn't mess up. That's when he went for the volley.

He struck the ball perfectly, and it flew past the goalkeeper, Andersen. When Visser saw the ripple in the netting behind Andersen, he knew what had happened. He scored his first goal in the SSL. He knew that this would be the first of... Well.. Not many. His teammates surrounded him in celebration, and he made sure to cherish this moment that will undoubtedly live in his mind forever.
