Elmis idol/the theme week
#1
Just like his partnership announcement, Elmis' choice of idol is raising some questions around there. First of all, it's not another goalie. Second of all, it's not even a Latvian either. The only thing that makes sense in this - the same sports agent. Anyways, some of you may remember a football league that came before this one, named GRSL. The longevity wasn't the name of that league, but it did survive for 4(?) seasons and there was indeed a player who Elmis was a fan of.

The big mean defenceman who came from Senegal and went by the name of Kirah Kouliyah. A defenceman who was more concerned in establishing his dominance over ''midget'' opposition forwards rather than doing a proper job at defending. And he did rack up some red and yellow cards in his short career so I guess he did what he wanted. What about his team? Well...you could draw some similarities between Kirah's Mexico City and Elmis' Cairo City. Not even because they both have City in the team's name. It's more like due to struggles teams had during respective careers. Though perhaps this season ends any similarities talk as Cairo is doing fine so far. As for Kirah...well you could say he was some sort of devil on the pitch due to his playing style and most of SSL world already knows Elmis' gimmick....maybe not so gimmick, but we'll leave that here.

But this still looks kinda weird. Kirah looked big and buffed. Elmis on other hand, 5'11 190 lbs. Not that big, may you agree with me. Does the Cairo goalie wishes he was that big? Did he want to play a defenceman first, then had to switch up to goaltending due to his smaller size? The king of heresy never gave an answer to this. However, his choice of idol may indicate something. Anyways, while it's never too late to transform into his idol; it may be better for everyone if he just stays dreaming.

As for Kirah? Nobody really knows where he is now. Maybe he joined some other underground football league. Or he just returned to Senegal to play there or just live the life. And maybe if GRSL did survive for longer he could've become something more than a mean devil on the pitch. But as it stands, Elmis will likely become the best football player of Hedge Hog's agency by just being a devil. But not a mean one.
