This is an average game day for Zlatan, follow along as he shows you his rituals and how he prepares for every game. To become a master at anything, first you must practice until greatness becomes second nature, and what you do off the field before the game contributes to how you perform on the field. This has been Zlatan’s guiding principal and his game day routine has not changed since he was 4 years old when he first kicked a football while playing in his local men’s sunday league.
Every game day begins the same, at 4:30am, Zlatan wakes up (down?) from his inverted hanging bed (this improves blood flow to the brain while Zlatan sleeps, enhancing cranial development and functions), the bed hangs from his 20 foot ceilings, so he has to be careful when he releases his ankle restraints. As he free falls from the ceiling, Zlatan performs a double back salto tucked with a triple twist landing perfectly square on his feet. I forgot to mention, during this manoeuvre, Zlatan also changes out of his Winnie the Pooh pyjamas and into his work out clothes for the morning.
Once Zlatan has said good morning to his pet hamster and fed “Hammy”, he will put Hammy in his pocket and depart on his morning run. To keep his muscles warm and relaxed for game time, Zlatan likes to run 50kms in about half an hour before taking a quick dip in the ocean and swimming for another 50kms.
