Reporter Peng: How have things been settling into a foreign country at such a young age?
Wang Zhihao: It has been eye opening, things in Medellin are nothing like back home. I’d say the academy staff have done a great job making the transition as easy as possible, but some comforts simply can’t be replaced. I miss seeing my parents, and struggle finding foods I like. There are a lot of days I simply eat rice and chicken, it gets me by. Otherwise the region is beautiful and maybe I’ll have more time to explore the city when the offseason comes around.
Reporter Peng: What food do you miss the most?
Wang Zhihao: That’s hard, but anything my Mom makes, she’s a wonderful cook.
Reporter Peng: Back to soccer, the team has been off to a great start, what are your goals with Atletico?
Wang Zhihao: Obviously we want to prove that we are the best academy in the world, so beating every team that comes our way is always the goal. The best we can do is prove time and time against how strong our 11 players can work together, and if we do that, more success will come.
