Rebrand Takes Us Back to Oceania
#1
After a successful season for the Reykjavik/Laos organization, there was some revamping that took place in the offseason. Not something that many would think would happen, especially after both teams won their respective leagues. However, a change was brewing and Laos was gone and North Shore United was born. Moving all the way to New Zealand, it puts the team pretty far from Reykjavik’s home in Iceland, but it was a change management was working on and looking forward to.

Everything about the new brand is great. The logo and jerseys are fantastic and the new stadium will be electric, playing in front of passionate fans. After Sydney became Reykjavik, now North Shore United becomes the only team occupying the Oceania region. It’s great to see, because as someone who started their career with Sydney I know how much that area of the world enjoys their football, and getting a team back in New Zealand will surely light that spark again. Everybody knows going to New Zealand won’t get everyone on board considering they have the All Blacks, but the new branding and location will definitely get the Oceania region back into the sport of football and I know for those players who get to play there, they’re going to love the atmosphere.
