Following the final kick of the season, in which Fry finally achieved his first assist, Fry fell ill with some form of space influenza, likely from a contaminated egg salad sandwich. Unfortunately, it was not the good kind of contaminate sandwich and the team locked Fry in his room for more than two days as quarantine. Fevers ripped across Fry's mind and he imagined a strange man in a red gingham dress and army boots refusing him even the most basic of quarantine entertainments. The room rocked back and forth as if upon a ship, and the food was delivered sans meat for some unknown reason. Once the quarantine time expired the door remained locked for reasons that still have not been clarified. Despite all of these experiences, Fry managed to bazooka barf out his disappointment and arrived late at the season award ceremony. He found out after the fact that he earned the Best Tackler award for the team, shocking everyone. The bar was of course closed by the time Fry arrived and he was forced to make due with the water from the flower vases. A fitting end to his first season, and surely a sign of what is to come in season two.
