The Skovgaard quadruplets all made their minor league debuts this season, and were all important members of their respective teams.
Aleksandr and Dina played for Montreal United this season, helping to propel the team into second place in the minor league. Aleksandr was an offensive machine out of the midfield for Montreal, scoring eight goals and adding three assists on top of that. Making the most of his limited appearances, he stayed out of foul trouble and was generally an excellent player, putting up an average game rating of 7.17. Dina was a solid presence in the Montreal backfield this season, contributing well on defense with a 77.78% tackle rate and 41 interceptions. Dina needs to work on keeping themselves out of foul trouble, ending the season with 7 yellows.
Over on North Shore United, Berit Skovgaard was a defensive stalwart in the backfield, with 83% of headers attempted being successful and 11 shots blocked, Berit was an important piece in North Shore’s top end defense, who only allowed 23 goals against all season.
Last but not least, Caspian Skovgaard was the king of crossers for FC Kaapstad, completing 42% of their crosser attempts, to go along with a good passing rate 85.73%.
The Skovgaards had a good first season in the SSL, and are hoping to build off of their successful rookie seasons with good playoff performances.
