GRADED: GRADED: Meet Dippy Dip!
#1
Good morning. I am David Doug, Ex-GM and player of F.C. Kaapstad and today on Cape Town Athletics, I am here with Dippy Dip my nephew, who is a new prospect for the upcoming season in the Soccer Simulation League.

David Doug: Hello Dippy Dip how are you doing today?

Dippy Dip: Hey Uncle David. I’m good! Happy to be here and happy to sit down with my family and talk Cape Town and soccer. Enough about me for a second. How are you Uncle? You recently retired from soccer. How does it feel.

David Doug: Wow I did not think I was gonna be asked any questions here today. Deep down I have been retired for quite some time and I was approached by Cape Town Athletic, the local sports show. There is an American Football League called International Simulation Football League who plays here in Cape Town… They are called the Cape Town Crash.

Dippy Dip: So, you are an American football guy now?

David Doug: Oh. Absolutely. It is kind of like rugby, but with more plays and equipment. They play in the worst conditions. I covered one of there games in the states and it was -10 Degrees… Remember Dippy I was born and raised over seas. So, I have always been a football guy.

Dippy Dip: How did you get into soccer then?

David Doug: Well I was a kicker in the International Simulation Football League for the Chicago Butchers. Who now have a different name, but also let me get out there. I was snubbed for Chicago Butchers HOF…… Anyway. I was tired of football and I had a good leg on me still. So, I attempted to be a defender in the SSL here and well you know that didn’t work out for me. I then went on to GM F.C. Kaapstad and end up staying here after I retried…. Enough about me. Tell me what you bring to the table?

Dippy Dip: *Laughs* You are an interesting man Uncle. You have done so much and you have so much history. You are the reason I am here today. Watching you play here in F.C. Kaapstad made me fall in love with the game. Now. I don’t like the defense aspect. I wanna be up there in the mix when goals are being scored, even if it is an assist. I have no problem feeding my striker.

David Doug: Well thank you. I am glad to have my family here attempting to compete in the BIG leagues as us Americans say. Now you’ve been so such a fun Right Winger to watch but you have been seen playing Left Winger and Center Attacking Midfielder. What can you tell the scouts who are watching this saying “can he play multiple positions”?

Dippy Dip: I can tell you Unc I can play every position of they want me too. Like I said I like to be up in the mix. So, if they need to move me over to Center Attacking Midfielder, then I can tell you and the scouts watching. I can do it. I am going to get better and better. I want to the ball when it comes to late game situations. I want to be a leader of men after this all said and done. I want them to know how much I can bring to the team.

David Doug: Awesome. So, what bout the question everyone is asking. Do you want to play for Football Club Kaapstad?

Dippy Dip: Uncle you know this answer. I have no issues with joining another team but I have to say Cape Town is all I know. I’ve never traveled out of the country. I have only been to games at Mandela Stadium.. That’s it. I would love to be drafted by Cape Town, but if that does not happen I cannot be mad. I am going to whatever team gives the best opportunity. I am going to play in the Academy and show these teams I have what it takes.
