Reporting to Seoul MFC for the first time following a championship run with Benelux signaled the first time Carolien was playing at a club outside of Europe for the first time in her life. Her arrival at Seoul with Aart de Trella (@trella )finally meant the entire team was there and ready to start training for the upcoming season ahead of them. For Carolien this meant a transition into a new position and mindset, moving up from midfield to play attacking midfield and striker if needed with the mindset of scoring goals rather than being a playmaker from right mid. The transition into the new position was easy for Miedema given she spent academy playing as a right attacking midfielder, the scoring mentality came easy having spent years practicing with her sister when she had the chance and her sisters scoring mentality seeming to have rubbed off on the younger Miedema sister. When Carolien wasn't training she was taking language courses for Korean and Catalan both of which were provided by the organization. In her free time Carolien sent settling into her new apartment, exploring Seoul, and doing any media obligations she has with the Catalunya organization or as a WSFC champion with Benelux.
