First Pre-season
#1
Slab Head's first pre-season training camp was a steep learning curve as he attempted to get to grips with everything USP/Paris we're going to expect of him throughout his career. While a committed professional throughout his young career, and with no concerns over conditioning and fitness, Slab Head's focus was on understanding the more cerebral side of the Paris system, and for that he would need a veteran to stick to.

Slab Head had heard stories of Benecio Aguilera - a fierce competitor and a stickler for the details. From his position in goal for Paris he was able to survey the entire field and would have no issue calling out teammates who were not being meticulous enough in their duties. Because of this, Slab Head decided he needed to stick to Benecio like glue, and learn everything he could off the veteran keeper.

And so that is what he did. Slab was like Benecios irritating little brother, following him around day in day out, asking to join in any conversations Benecio was having with teammates or coaches about the scheme or positional duties. And through this constant exposure, Slab began to learn what he needed to do. The constant exposure to the system and the discussion around how they were best to handle certain hypotheticals meant the Paris system became second nature to Slab.
