Port Royal player Badrick Blackwood V caught drink driving; crashes into tree
#1
Port Royal's hometown hero winger Badrick Blackwood V has been charged with drink driving after he reportedly hit a tree during an intoxicated spell behind the wheel, following his teams 3-1 victory over Adowa Accra.

The footballer was pulled over by the Kingston Police in the wee hours of the morning on February 14th, after officers spotted a yellow Citroen Saxo embedded into a tree on the side of a road. The tree had reportedly crumpled the car's front all the way to the windshield, absorbing most of the impact and leaving Badrick unscathed.

It is reported that the 19 year old was taken into custody after he exclaimed the following to the officers: "Mi cyar mashed up but not as mashed up as your b***y you b****clat wasteman, bun you Babylon." He refused a breathalyser test.

He is currently out on bail and is due to appear in court on February 21st, one day after a Port Royal match for which he is still eligible. The youngster had been touted as next up in Jamaica's setup, but after this incident, Jamaica's coach - Badrick Blackwood IV, has expressed doubt over selecting his son: "Bun him."

The young member of the famed Blackwood dynasty had previously been caught up in media controversies, including being caught sleeping with Louis Ashworth's girlfriend in a 5-star hotel in Tahiti in December of last year. Beforehand, he was fined by the Jamaican FA for posting naked photos of himself on his social media, underlined with the caption "Rich & Handsome".

Big ups man, really sad to see these young talents end up in a life of crime at such a young age. With all the opportunities they have, it is frustrating to watch them throw it away for reckless decisions. Footballers, especially those with the potential to be great, should focus on their careers and personal growth instead of indulging in destructive behaviors, as a great philosopher once said, "ts ts pmo ts pmo."
His father, the beautiful manager of Southampton, would be absolutely angry to see what his offspring has ended up becoming. A man who dedicated his life to football, discipline, and leadership now has to watch his own son make a mess of his reputation. It must be heartbreaking for him, knowing that with the right guidance, his son could have been a star. Instead, he is out here crashing cars, refusing breathalyzer tests, and disrespecting authority.
Meanwhile, his younger brother Joseph is a shining example of what a disciplined footballer should be. Playing as Podgorica FC’s main striker and captain, he has taken the opposite path. Instead of falling into reckless behavior, he chooses faith and hard work. He goes to church twice a day, stays focused on his career, and rejects his older brother’s hedonistic and awful way of living.
It is honestly a shame to see such a contrast between two brothers. One is throwing away his talent for momentary pleasures, while the other is building a legacy through discipline and faith. Badrick still has time to turn things around, but if he does not wake up soon, he will end up as just another wasted talent, forgotten by the sport he once had the potential to dominate, I for one think he can do better than this but we will see what's going to happen, It might be caused due to his lover Louis cheating on him.
