Season 18 had some stories to tell and it's gonna be remembered for different reasons, some they see it as a start of their rise others, the decline, mid table has never been this close only 4 points separeted 3rd place from 6th place. So how is S19 gonna be? Are we going to see a new champion? Will we get to see another freak season like 16-17 where every team finished in the same spot? Is Schwarzwälder going to keep their title? I'll try to answear those questions and more.
I've gather data from all places i could, including API, Portal, Youtube, Discord and throw it into a Excel, since this a Prediction first and foremost the base of analysis is my opinion, the second one and in much lower percentange is TPE, while stats don't really "play" the season they are a huge factor, but not the deciding one. So as a quantifiable factors I've added Average TPE (put in brackets next to the team), Average Ratings, Standings since the start of franchise, semi-relevant stats where is the case and for the fun of it my confidence in the standing S = as sure as a prediction can be, A = Could see them move 1 place, B = Could see them move 2 places, C = Could see them moving 3-4 places , so let's start in reverse order.
S18 was ruthless for Catalunya they were the worst team, they've managed to win a single match stunning Hollywood FC with a 5-1 victory in MD, the rest of the season went sour really fast. They had the worst attack and the worst defence and for S19 I don't see it changing that much, their transfers seems like a net negative, Delo and Hefeweizen while not having the best ratings they are still quality players, ones that Catalunya did not replace and did terrible with last season. To note that Hannah van Garritsen is playing as CD for Catalunya while on Tokyo was a RAM.
While friendlies are surprisingly good, maybe the change in tactic could yield some unexpected results that's why i think they could get to 7th, but i don't think they could go more than that, they are the second youngest team, so in the future we could see them doing better.
Sao Paulo has finally seem some sun in S18 breaking their streak of 4 consecutive 8th place, S17 was the start of the rebuild, a freak season with 0 points and 100 goals taken, now seeing some growth in S18, for S19 they are easily the youngest team in the league, their players are on average S17 players, the 'oldest' player being Vito Habjanič S15. Last season they surely overperformed with some of their matches, but ironically more than half of their team has a negative xG performance, so technically they should have scored even more!
While a defeat against Reykjavik it's understandable, their win against Buenos Aires surely raised a few eyebrows, but they've got their number even in S18 where they got 4 points out of the eventual 3rd place team. At least for the friendlies Costwold one of their best players last season (AVG 7.3, TPE 1082), has been a sub in their unique tactic with 3 CD and a Half-back. Not really sure thats the play.
Quality wise they are the worst in the league, but that didn't stopped them last season where Julian Rubio was the 3rd best goalscorer, their
they let out a decent player and now they play with a fresh academy one.
My confidence is A, i almost put them 6th, they overall got worse and their tactic doesn't seem to acomodate their stars that well so i think they will battle with Catalunya for the 7th place instead.
A.C Romana starts to see the bottom, falling from grace in a abrubt way in S18 ended their streak of top 3 5 years in the row, and since the start of the franchise they are the only team besides the giants Reykjavik and Schwarzwälder that managed to win the title. While S18 was the start of the fall i don't think S19 will be better, the writing is on the wall, they are the oldest team besides Reykjavik and Schwarzwälder but they have a bellow the average squad. They had memorable season with a record breaking draw number, even drawing their 2 friendlies, and from the stats they are slightly unlucky most of their time underperforming their xG, the worse one of them being their ST Walter Pinkman who still manage to bag 9 goals and be 4th goalscorer. They managed to get to the final of the cup and battling with top 4 as closely as it gets, all of that while winning 2 matches.
My confidence is S, their transfers are good, Patrick Carrigan was a key asset last season, but Neuer should do even better, while Miro Schweinsteiger had the worst average rating, they seem too good to be under 6th and not there yet to be better than above so 6th it is.

CA Buenos Aires (TPE 1169)
They had a break out season in S18 having the best season and their best placement as the result, they been good tactically, but sometimes lose the bottom teams, while being consistently good agains the top. From my analysis I think they outperformed themselves, Jake Bradford himself had been beating his xG the most of the league scoring 9 goals out of 4.6 xG.
My confidence is B, their transfers been very good, Sterling Scott should be in top 10 and a contender for golden boot. Their friendlies are worrying and I just think the other midtable tables team are slightly better but will be overall really close to others.
In S18 Hollywood had been all over the place, they are the only team that beat Reykjavik last season, drew with Schwarzwälder, but got beaten by Catalunya AND Sao Paulo. Quality wise they are the 3rd best team they just have to gel their tactic and that’s why my confidence is A.
I think they end their 5th place streak, they are good, Dexter Hall had one of the best if not the best GK season and their attack have been slightly unlucky, the mismatch of their tactic and the strenght of other teams made me put them 4th for now.
Last season their playmakers and overall key pieces Jalen Brooks and Scud Muffin had been blasting for them having 27 CC combined being second best duos. Their LAM, Muffin is now retired, Brooks taking his plays as a LAM, while signing a LAM from their minor team, that played RAM last season and now plays RD, maybe they got something cooking since they have the flexibility, most likely will see them switching things around.
Last season they missed the 3rd spot on goal difference thanks to some blowouts Schwarzwälder FV and Reykjavik, they were really close to Buenos Aires but only managed to get 1 point from their direct matches.
It's hard talking about Tokyo without talking about their and the league MVP Jude Greer, most POTM, most km covered, most CC , most Assists, while Zlatan Ibruhimovic had been fantastic as well and 2nd in the golden boot standing beating his xG by 3.23 I can't say that he's been overperforming that's just thanks to great service from Jude Greer and Shinji Kaido. Jude Greer and Momo Adamu quality wise are the 2nd and 3rd best players in the league, their defence should be more than solid.
My confidence is A only by the fact that the teams bellow are close enough and they could overtake them. Simply put they did well last season, they made some good transfers and I expect more of the same, if not even better. They are still far from cracking into top 2 in my opinion.
It took an invicible season to take down the mighty Reykjavik from snatching their 3 consecutive title, by 1 point! Hollywood being the only team to beat them, crusing to the cup, beating Schwarzwälder TWICE but not in the league, their head to head in league had been a thriller matches with a 3-3 and 2-2 draws.
Last season they were the best in the league by a lot of measurements, they had 6 players in top 10 avg ratings, the top 3 being their front 3 attackers. They had the second best defence and the best attack BY FAR with 47 goals, 18 MORE than second place.
Simply put they should've won it, all the team was putting a performance, their worst rating being their GK Brick Wall Jr. which didn't had a lot balls to save. But it took a masterclass of performance from Schwarzwälder FV and 2 upset matches (1-2 vs Hollywood and 2-2 vs Romana) to lose them the title.
While Andrews could come back into first XI, it seems like the switch around was intentional, Furious Chicken had a very good season as a RD and now is moving as RAM to be even more Furious. Him and Santos Neymarinho will partner up on the wings to replace the Andrews - Arasov duo from last season.
My confidence is S, they are way too good to go bellow 2nd, but I think at the moment they are slightly worse than Schwarzwälder, they were better last season, losing both Arasov and Andrews, both of them being in most top 10 of the leagues will probably cost them. It's close, but I'm sticking with my guts.
What a season for Schwarzwälder, while bound to repeat myself they been very good, statistically they been just under Reykjavik, and they finished an invicible season to win the title by one point. Everytime they won the title they need to be invincible to do it.
Keeping it short, quality wise they are the best in the league, they had the best defence BY FAR only allowing 13 goals in 14 games, more than half of them being scored by Reykjavik alone. And their attack are nothing to scoff about it they've been the second best attacking team.
Confidence S, realistically it's gonna be close again, but they already have beaten Reykjavik this season, feat that they couldn't do the whole S18. The team is mostly the same, I expect Wang Zhihao to challange for the golden boot, I don't think they are gonna need another undefeated season to win this one.

Overall not many surprises comparing to S18, rebuilding are still in place and not finished for lower teams, but they could snach some points here and there, mid table teams should be closer than ever, but I don't see the giants being challenge yet.
