With his first professional season underway, there are a lot of things that Montreal United midfielder Cameron Millwall has to adjust to. He has had a solid start into the campaign, scoring a goal in the minor league season opener before registering an assist in the Cup game against major league outfit C.A. Buenos Aires.
"Overall, it's a pleasant experience to be here in Montreal. Everybody has made it a point to welcome me to the team and the organization as a whole," Millwall said in the press availability following the upset win over Buenos Aires. "Every day, every little training session makes me realize that I still have a whole lot of work to do but I feel like I'm slowly catching up with the level of play in the minor league."
Millwall has been seen numerous times with the athletic coaching staff lately, trying to get his athleticism into form - or rather up to par with the rest of the league. He still will need to invest many hours after the regular training sessions. Still, it's surely an investment that will pay off for him in the long run. As a first round pick, many eyes are looking at him with expectations to succeed.
