A day in the life - Dom Patterson

We have seen where Jakarta top scorer Dom Patterson has come from, growing and evolving through a series of loan moves and youth football, but now we want to see what sort of character he is off the pitch. 

Jakarta havn't had the best of seasons, but Patterson has been in fine form firing in almost a goal a game for the struggling team. To relax and unwind the striker leads a relatively normal life, and our camera crews were given behind the scenes access to a Tuesday following the match.

It started with a trip to B&Ms to get some cleaning supplies. Running around with his feather duster and handheld hoover Patterson was nimble on his feet, making full use of his agility and composure to dance around the ornaments, culminating on a spotless house.



Then comes a bit of washing, with it being a nice day he made full use of the Indonesian weather to hang things up outside. Neighbour Tonto Tut was happy to assist as they always do on the pitch, crossing the T shirts for Patterson to stick on the back of the net. 



Next was a little trip out to get some fresh air in the countryside. Patterson loves a bit of acceleration and making decisions quickly, so spends a lot of time visiting his teammates around the country. The bond within the Jakarta camp has only been strengthened by the adversity they have faced this year! But that hasn't dampened their spirits at all, their mental attributes are some of the strongest in the league, playing for each other and the locker room is the place to be following a Jakarta win! Scenes that resemble the last days of Rome are rare but when they do come around full use is made of the opportunity. A normal weekday is a stark contrast to the Jakarta antics that are now legendary in the league. 
Patterson is often seem zooming around on his motorbike, and our camera crew just managed to get a quick snap before he disappeared into the distance for a few hours



After returning Patterson was straight into the kitchen to treat our team to a banging meal! Homemade burgers were on the menu that were as good, if not better than his performances on the pitch! Buttermilk chicken, homemade burger sauce, and triple cooked chips were the order of the day, showcasing not only his Flair and Off the ball skills. 
We left just as he was about to tuck into the monster burger, showing one of the league's sharpshooters in an everyday setting, and it was refreshing to see. We'll keep up with this interesting character and return for the end of season party to see the contrast!
