A Day in the Life - Chef Gagne
#1
No one asked him to be the guy, he isn't paid to do it, it's just what he does. Chefs gotta cook. Unsanctioned but greatly appreciated, Chef Gagne has become the resident chef for Sao Paolo. Yes, there are professionals who also cook on behalf of the team, but Gagne simply does not trust them to lead. While he has classic french training and a flair for creole, during the season it's all about nutrition. Gagne fuels his teammates with an ever-changing rainbow of different protein smoothies before morning drills, followed by some variation on a green leafy lunch selection. Dinner isn't his problem.

The football life isn't purely cooking for Chef, but it damn near 100% is preparation. Whether he is chopping mirepoix or running through tires to improve his lateral movement, Gagne is always at some stage of preparation for the next match. There are those who - hearing how much he cooks - might think he ignores his responsibilities to the team, but they would be sorely mistaken. Weights, cardio, flexibility, and mindfulness all get taken care of as part of Chef's hyper-militant schedule. It's all about consolidating tasks and staying ferociously organized. In the gym, he likes to jog the treadmill between reps on the bench. When he's in the kitchen, he listens to binaural beats while cutting vegetables to quiet his mind. At the end of the day, he has fueled and trained his body to perfection while preparing a minimum of two balanced meals for the entire team, all while staying blissfully focused and mindfully attuned to a peak competitive state.

As for the offseason? All bets are off. There's still one more match to play, a desperate bout to try and steal the league title (relying on a reyk/sfv tie and a 2 goal victory over Hollywood). After that, out comes the butter, sugar, pork fat, and fine wine. Chef might be a next-level expert on macros and nutrition, but he also knows how to party when the occasion calls for it.
