Post-match interview Juozas Kupinas MD14
#1
Interviewer: Hello everyone! We just witnessed the Victoria Falls Eagles lose at home versus PS Jakarta. The end result was 0-1. Joining me here is right midfielder Juozas Kupinas. Thank you for joining me after what must have been a painful defeat for your team. This loss continued your streak of not winning matches which is at 8 now at the end of the season. How does that feel?

Kupinas: It's honestly really saddening considering the hard work we've put in the entire season. Also in the tactical department we've been puzzling for many hours every week to come up with a system that can work with our limited depth in defense, but you can safely say that has not resulted in much which makes it extra painful. I think many tactics were decent. When looking at the statistics we should have won more than we have, but yeah, when you don't finish your chances, the statistics are useless.

Interviewer: Talk about this match. Your team seemed to be playing well but you ended up losing anyway. Do you think this result was deserved?

Kupinas: As long as we don't manage to score goals, we definitely deserve to lose. Of course we were the team that looked dominant considering the amount of chances we created, but since we didn't score from those chances and Jakarta did, we deserved to lose. We had many strong opportunities to score, but they simply didn't go in. We have definitely been lacking in our finishing ability and that has contributed to us not getting many points this season.

Interviewer: With the season being over now and with that also your academy career, where will we see you play next year? Any clue about that already?

Kupinas: First of all I want to thank all the people and fans of the Victoria Falls Eagles. They have given me a chance of a lifetime by letting me join them. I also want to thank my team mates who have been working hard all season, even through the tough times. About next season, I have no idea yet where I'll be playing. Multiple organisations have shown interest by which I'm very flattered. Regardless of where I'll end up, I'm gonna enjoy my time there as much as possible and work hard to get some nice results.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time and good luck in the future!

Kupinas: Thank you.
