A beautiful day for a match - Matchday 14. Port Royal has already clinched the Academy league title but play in this final game without much meaning as a testament to their dominance of the league up to this point. In this matchday 14, Port Royal FC takes on Sydney City.
The first half of the game had chances aplenty, but the only goal of the half came in the 42nd minute. With Port Royal clearing a dangerous chance by Sydney just a few seconds prior, Sydney City defenseman Rup headed the clear to midfielder Nahka. With very limited space, Nahka tossed a beauty of a forward arcing ball into the goalie box while forward Caetano made a run past the D line and sent the ball to the back of the net. A beautiful setup that caught Port Royal completely off kilter. GK James Asprey was agog at the speed in which the play developed and had very little chance of stopping the attack.

To make the day worse for league champs Port Royal, Sydney City was able to sneak in a very crafty play from the side of the net off a deep attacking zone throw in during the 57th minute. Cahil threw it in to Van Eyndhoven who put it back and forth with Van Eyndhoven finally taking it in the box deep. He then passed it to a barely onside Haroldino who snuck it short side past Asprey. A well executed play and a sour spot for Port Royal.

In a very exciting near - goal, Sydney City had the chance to go up 3-0 on a PK in minute 65, but amazing goalkeeper Asprey dove correctly and fended off a bullet strike!
Minjeong would eventually make it 3-0 Sydney in the 76th minute. A crazy lob from the back D line over everyone's heads landed in the attacking zone right on Minjeong's foot. It was a walk in the park then for Minjeong to finish the job. It was one of those goals where the player looked so offside, but only because the lob was so long and the striker had that much time to get out in front.

Champs Port Royal didn't even get on the board in matchday 14, but bring home the consolation knowing they are still on top of the board.
