Dear Mother (Draft)
#1
Dear Mother,

Today is my last day in Accra. Tomorrow - I will know where my new home for the next while will be. I don't have any particular strong feelings I just hope that it is somewhere near the water.

I've made some good friends here but it is so fleeting in the grand scheme of things, just a handful games.

We were good together, not the best mind you, but almost - a few stumbles unfortunately put us too far in the hole.

I will be thankful for much of what I learned here and will carry with me my newfound powers of cranial prowess.

...

Draz thinks for a bit before putting his notebook away and pacing up the beach. Accra really is a beautiful city, he lets the waves lap at his feet for a while while he tries to take a mental snapshot of this feeling, of this place.

...

Playing here, doing soccer as a job and not just a fun game, is so strange - such a blessing that I am allowed to partake in. I thank whatever accidental paths I've chosen that have granted me this blessed opportunity.

I'll hopefully see you and dad for a few days here before I make my way to my new home base. I want some Dad's famous potato soup.

Your son,

Draz Tathille.
