Now that the draft is concluded, it's a good time to look at the top picks of this draft and see how good they are, okay?
I sadly cannot access the academy stats, so I'll be grading and valuing these picks using my non-scientific eye test! (I actually can access the file im lazy lol) Also, just like the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway" the numbers mean nothing! Anyway, let's begin, okay?
1 OA: Shanghai Dragons, Marcel Voda
An interesting pick at #1! The dragons want to breathe fire in the midfield with this accomplished passer! They make good decisions and look to be balanced, and shouldn't be too bad! Of course, the sky high potential is why they go so high, so I think they should be valued at $40,000,000! (Keep in mind these are rookies still, they probably won't be more than $50m!)
I'll also give a ceiling player of what they could reach! I think Voda could become a Xavi/iniesta level passer in the future, with a decent DM role potentially too!
2 OA: CD Tenochtitlan, Tonto Tut
Tut is another interesting player from this class! They remind me of this kid from Manshine City, who supposedly had a doppleganger in the SSL! Anyway, Tut is a jack of all trades, a fun archetype, okay?
While not good at anything, they're good at pretty much anything that doesn't involve penalties! That being said, lacking true strengths right now puts them only at $29,000,000 for my valuation, but the ability to do everything is great!
For the player comp, I'll use their render...ROY KEANE! I prefer the Ted Lasso version though, still both are good, okay?
3 OA: Kim Minjeong, A.C. Romana
This pace merchant went 3 OA? I'm kidding! Minjeong scored some nice goals in the prospect league, but as a pure striker, I can only value them at $25,000,000, since they have only 10 finishing! That's worse than some midfielders! They can get into space but might collapse like prime Nunez or Morata, okay?
Either way, Minjeong is the striker with the best potential in this class, so it's a great pick! Shame that they'll be going up against the Ace Eater on the field! <3
Theirry Henry makes sense for a player comp, given the SPEED, okay?
4 OA: Daibhi Barr, CF Catalyuna
Due to legal reasons, they can't share a name with Barcelona. But due to draft reasons, I really like this pick, okay?
While Barr lacks a lot of strength, he's very creative and good at making things happen for teammates. A little less balanced in creativity than Voda, but that's because they're focused exclusively on the attack! I value them at $31,000,000; and at peak maybe they'll be as creative as a Dybala or Ozil!
5 OA: Louis Ashworth, Hollywood FC
Ashworth looks like a prototypical modern day winger, okay? Speedy, good at crossing and finishing! They'd love to thrive in a Klopp 4-3-3 system! Having high TPE and falling this far makes it a good pick for Hollywood!
I give them a $26,000,000 value! I think they might become a Saka or Salah type of forward! Good luck, okay?
6 OA: Jakob Fensterhausen, Uniao Sao Paolo
It's fitting the Center Back that goes right before me goes to Brazil! He's a very good tackler, and a good stand-up CB. They will look to be a small defender in the system with very little jumping reach, but good passing and creativity as a ball playing defender!
I value them at $37,000,000, given that a strong defender is always super valuable! Player comp won't feature a former GOAT, but Lisandro Martinez seems to be a good comp as a very solid small defender! Pre-United/Ajax version of Martinez, even that flop Antony has done better outside of Man U, okay? Good luck avoiding the curse of Man U with fensterhausen!
7 OA: Andre Caetano, CD Tenochtitlan
Ooh, one of the expansion teams picks up a SECOND first! They use it on a promising player in Caetano! Their abilites are weaker given a lot of banked TPE, but should be a promising midfielder on the attack! However, they seem weak right now, I can only give them a $20,000,000 valuation with weak current ability!
However, it looks like the expansion team has a midfield duo for a decade, okay? Love this pick!
I won't do the easy thing and pick Jota as a comparsion, how about Phil Coutinho? A little harder at this level to find a true player comp!

The dragons decided to one up Tenochtitlan by getting THREE firsts! Alongside first overall, they bring Trick Johnson aboard! The second defender off the board, and first wing back has blazing pace to torch the wings! As a player who can help with crosses, tackling, and anything on the left side of the pitch, I'll give a $26,000,000 valuation!

Wow! I'm a first round pick, okay? I'm a bit stronger physically than Fensterhausen, but lack some of the raw tackling ability on the defense! Maybe that would've helped Victoria Falls a little more...
No time for crying over dropped points! I think I'm worth around $24,000,000 right now! I'd love to become a Maldini type defender at my prime, maybe a Beckenbauer or Baresi in terms of being a true Libero might fit me a bit more?
Unfortunately, since I'm a tstols player, there's no way that happens!

$100,000,000! Snorlax is so cool! Although, missed potential to make them a goalie that covers the entire goal, okay? (no comp, Snorlax is UNIQUE)
