I am an easily pleased person but there are a number of things that absolutely love. The following 280 words will be a brief rundown of all of them in no particular order.
1. Arizona Cardinals Football Team
You might take this first one to mean i love pain, and you would essentially be correct. I've not been a fan of the NFL for a particularly long time as being in Scotland only people with the premium sky sports package ever got the NFL so I didn't get into it until things like gamepass became accessible here. The Cardinals are a factory of pain second only to the Brown's. But I still absolutely love them and will stick with them through thick and thin.
2. Rugby
I have a love, hate relationship with rugby. I love playing it. I hate waking up the day after playing.
My body is a hotch potch of funny looking scars and fingers and toes not quite pointing the right direction.
I've tried giving up 3 times now, most recently over lockdown but I keep feel myself being drawn back to the game for better or worse. It's been around 4 months since I last played now but I've stupidly signed up for an away game in an island next month.
As a side note of you ever want chills, watch Flower of Scotland being performed in Murrayfield during the six nations. It is amazing.
3. My friends.
I have a group of 8 friends from university I see around 2 or 3 times a year. Every time I see them it feels like we've seen each other every day. I would go to war for these guys they are fucking awesome.
4. Last but not least my family.
I have an amazing wife who brought the most adorable little girl into the world. These two are everything to me and are simply fantastic. Hearing them both laugh at my terrible jokes gives me the biggest smile.
