Nikolai Ahmed had made his majors debut for Catalunya this season, after a few seasons with the Seoul squad. Unfortunately the results haven't gone their way, losing 6-1 to Romana and a tight 1-2 home defeat against Tenochtitlan. In the Romana match, Nikolai was giving a 7.0 match rating, playing the full 90 and completing an 94.44% passing completion rate. The match against Tenochtitlan was rough for Nikolai, only playing 45 minutes and completing a 81.82% passing completion rate. In both matches Nikolai didn't assist or score, making it the first time that he hadn't either scored or assisted in his first two matches within the new season in his career.
After the two matches, Nikolai sat down with the manager and had a conversation about the possibility of playing another season in the Minors, with Seoul Mythic. Nikolai didn't believe he was ready for the Majors call up, and thought another season of development would be beneficial for him AND Seoul. Nikolai is considered a great midfield asset for Seoul and potentially a midfield star in the Catalunya squad, and the manager happily accepted his request, and soon Nikolai will be fighting with the exciting Seoul squad another season, hoping to find form for himself that can set him up for success.
