Academy Task 5: Sydney City Next Team Prediction
#1
The season is nearly over! So, here’s my top predictions for where I think all the Sydney City players could end up at.

Brannigan Stoush
Let’s be honest. A red card in a middle of their Academy season is something else. [skull emoji]
You might know him for being a shadow centre back. You might know him for his interceptions. But the thing we know about him the most, is the number of Yellow Cards he has this season (6).
Come on mate. You know better than this!
For getting a red card, you’re going to a team with the only player in the Major league with a red card.
2nd Round
A.C. Romana ACR
Brodie James
Being a contender of the Golden Boot.
I thought you said you didn’t care about goals.
“Uh, that was then. This is now. People change. Read a book” - Brodie James response
(If you know the reference, you’re a legend. If not, you’re still a legend)
Anyway, Brodie James has been cooking in the Academy, he even scored a hat trick +1 in One MatchDay.
1st Round
CA Buenos Aires BA
Daniel Herrera
Now, HEAR ME OUT!
Even though he hasn't been consistent in these games, Daniel got top 4 in most chances created.
I do feel like Daniel still has the potential to cook in the Major League in the next 5 seasons if he keeps working hard.

2nd Round
CD Tenochtitlan Tenochtitlan
Dissa Pointment
Fried the academy in the first half, ended up frying in the end.
He could've won the Golden Boot if he didn't have any quiet matches. (Cough) Anthony Simmons (Cough)
Even so, Dissa will not be Disappointing the managers in the SSL.
1st Round
CD Tenochtitlan Tenochtitlan
Kori Mizukana
Most likely the best defender in the Academy. Sure, he might have some ups and downs, but that doesn’t stop Kori from stopping the goals from even getting over the line in the first place.
Kori keeps going = Top 10 defender
1st Round
A.C. Romana ACR
Owain Roberts
When you’re in goal and you have Owain Roberts in your team, best believe that he will help you score that goal no matter what.
Most assists in the Academy. He is so selfless.
The teams need him.
1st Round
Hollywood FC HFC
Samson Okoro
I'm gonna go straight to the point
2nd Round
Schwarzwälder FV SFV
Snor Lax
Literally the best Goalkeeper in the SSL Academy
Most Save percentage in the Academy, what more could you need from a Goalie?
Goalkeepers are crucial in Football, and therefore he'll get picked first.
1st Round
CF Catalunya CFCat

Sandro da Silva
I'm gonna go straight to the point.
2nd Round
Hollywood FC HFC
Tom Mæddisen
Top 10 in distance run.
That's it. Nothing else to talk about.
2nd Round
Shanghai Dragons Shanghai
Peruere Snezhevna
Peruere has potential!
I mean c'mon, for someone who's focusing on mental, it won't be long until Peruere starts frying!
Give 'em time.
2nd Round
Tokyo S.C TSC

Hmm, like using your deep dive as an attempt to hype up your teammates and make some predictions for where they end up. But I'm curious as to some of the reasons for your choices. Trying to use my 'logic' from other Draft leagues, I know people consider the user, overall TPE/earning, and if they fill any team needs. Like if you don't know if someone's going to re-roll, or know a user fills a team need right now without it while still earning well, they become more appealing. The on field stats, unless you have an atrocious build and refuse to change it, are secondary, especially in the Academy.

Now with this logic applied, here's my own analysis, not taking account of potential re-rolls. Take with salt as a new soccer fan.

I think you could be under-valuing Gucci (Sandro da Silva) a bit. Right now he is a the top of the TPE earned of the class, and Right Wing back and his secondary positions of Right Midfield and Right D could be valuable to some teams. He's also been fairly active in the SSL server. First round with him is a possibility. Hollywood in particular, I think it depends on their formations, if he wants to re-roll, could work (1oa, depending if Canadice is genuine in wanting to go after a First Gen user which is very fair, or their later first rounder at 7th possible!) as Hollywood does have a solid still young RWB, and his other positions have fairly young users also filling those roles.

ANOTHER consideration is our dear Snorlax and fellow Poke-Pal. Speaking as a goalie in the SHL, being a goaltender is something that can drop you a little. You'd have to have a team be SUPER high on you and be their team's top need to get in that top 10 position. As a user, Ghamss easy round 1 guy. But with not every team needing a goalie or having other needs to fill, they can drop. Also this class alone has three VERY strong goaltenders I pointed out in my own early mock draft. Nol is 1oa quality in some leagues ;) and Thunder is fantastic. I'd argue with a deep class at that position, depending on a team's priority of need, they may wait a touch to pick a goalie just knowing that, in theory, they'll get a good one no matter what. Also something that neither of us knew in our draft related entries-

CF Catalunya does not own their first, it is Hollywood FC. Also CFC has two young goalkeepers on their teams, an s18 and an s20. GHamss, I think going round one is possible, especially if a team is high on him and have GK as a high priority, but even if CFC owned their pick, a GK would not be on their radar, no matter how much our dear Snorlax is awesome. They're set in net. I think USP, SVF, ACR (Only one GK, old), Hollywood, and Shanghai are all the possible goalkeeper landing spots whether they lack two goalkeepers, have an older one, or an inactive one. All of them I think would be good fits.

This is kind of just me looking at things from my perspective, team needs, and knowledge of the picks and users. I think Sydney has some good quality users, some of them will be fighting to end up in a high position in the draft. From an Eagle to the Kangaroos, good luck in the draft!
