The lineage of course started with the very first Mikko Rashford. A founder of the league in Season 1, Rashford the First was probably the GOAT midfielder and one of the biggest names in the SSL until his retirement in Season 16. A phenom from day 1, Rashford would make his first team of the year in Season 2, making seven teams in total, including a spot in his retirement year. Rashford also managed a Golden Eye in Season 10. Initially picked up on waivers by Tokyo to start his career, he would quickly be traded to Hollywood F.C. that same season where he would begin to make his mark on the league. Hollywood would win the first double in league history in Rashford's first full season with them. Rash would go on to win 2 more SSL Cups and 3 League Championships with Hollywood before shaking things up in Season 9. Seoul would trade for Rashford for the season before making a blockbuster 3 way trade with Tokyo and Reykjavik. Rashford would head to Tokyo on loan for a spell and then wind up in Reykjavik for Season 10. Reykjavik would prove to be a fine fit for Rashford who would begin his tenure there with a Golden Eye. 3 consecutive championships and 1 league cup would be won there before heading back to Hollywood in his final season. He would retire with and stole hold the record for most distance run in all competitions, a true testament to his legacy as the ultimate do-everything, be-everywhere kind of player.
The first son, Mikko Rashford II, would enter the scene just as his father was leaving. Though the son of a prolific midfielder, Rashford II would have a more offensively minded approach as a top striker prospect. Rashford the Second entered the academy for Stockholm in Season 16 and made his debut in the minors for North Shore United in Season 17. At North Shore he would follow in his father's footsteps of success. Rash would win rookie of the year and make minor league team of the year in his first season, on top of starting a streak of winning two straight minor league titles. In Season 18 he would win both the Golden Boot and MVP awards on top of the title and TOTY nomination. Season 19 would be his last before being called up to Reykjavik to continue the family legacy there, and he would go out with a bang with another Golden Boot, MVP, and TOTY nom. At Reykjavik, Rashford II has already begun the long road to challenge his father's success by starting out with a title in Season 20.
In a surprising twist, a third Rashford hit the scene just after the second. Mikko Rashford III would end up in the academy at Stockholm for Season 18. Though the two had not grown up together or even known about each other, Rashford II quickly accepted his long lost brother and the two were paired up at North Shore for Season 19. Rashford the Third takes more after his father as a midfielder, but he has two tough acts to follow from his father and older brother.
Rumor has it that a third Rashford brother has been found, and he is more defensively minded than the rest of the family...
