Academy Task 5: Reykjavik/North Shore team result history
#1
Welcome to a small article about the result history of the Reykjavik/North Shore franchise. The history of either team in this franchise does not start until season 3, where an expansion happened that introduced the SSL to Sydney City, back then there was only The League, and if their first season they had a lot of success for an expansion side, getting 2nd in the league, and reaching the final of the cup. Following this season came season 4 where there was once again a 2nd place however the cup this time ended at the qualifying round. Season 5 saw the change from the league, to a D1 and D2 structure, and was the first piece of silverware for the relatively new side, winning D1, and the cup in only their 3rd season. This success was not to last however as in season 6 they got last in D1 which meant relegation to D2, and got knocked out of the qualifying round of the cup. Season 7 then came and saw the rebranding from Sydney City to Reykjavik United (it also saw the expansion that introduced the team now known as North Shore United, see paragraph below for their history), and while their 1st season was not too successful, they got 6th in D2 and got knocked out of the cup as the 4th placed team in their group, season 8 saw a small improvement, ending in 5th with a 4th place knockout of the group in the cup. Then came season 9, where a 2nd place finished secured promotion to the 1st division, and they reached the semi-final of the cup before getting knocked out. Season 10 then saw the first cup final as Reykjavik United which they lost, and a 4th place in D1, with season 11 giving Reykjavik United a D1 championship, but getting knocked out in the quarter-final. With season 12 we got introduced to the franchise set-up, with Reykjavik United becoming a major league side, and showing great strength winning the major league, and reaching the final of the cup, which was also done in season 13. Season 14 saw Reykjavik getting 2nd in the league and reaching the cup final, just like season 15, and season 16 and 17 once again saw Reykjavik winning the league and losing the cup in the final. Season 18 Reykjavik got 2nd in the league, but finally won the cup final, which they one-upped in season 19 by winning both the league and cup. Season 20 saw Reykjavik claim their so far final major league title and being defeated in the final of the cup. In total this means Reykjavik/Sydney have won 2 D1 titles, and 6 Major League titles together with 3 cups.

North Shore meanwhile only started in season 7 as the expansion side Red Star Laos, and their start was not strong, not even getting a single win in their road to last place (8th) in the league, and getting knocked out in 3rd in the cup group stage, season 8 saw some wins and a 4th place finish (4th in the cup group as well), following this was a 5th placed finish in season 9, 6th in season 10, and a high of 3rd in season 11, with Red Star Laos getting 3rd in the group stage of the cup in all of these seasons. Season 12 saw the move to franchises, and for Red Star Laos this meant becoming a Minor League team of the Reykjavik/Laos franchise. Their first season in the minor league ended with a championship and a quarter-final cup run, before the rebrand to North Shore United in season 13 which saw the team getting 2nd and knocked out of the cup group in 3rd, this cup group in 3rd also happened in season 14, however here North Shore won the Minor League, before winning it again in season 15, but this time with a cup win to show for it. The season 16 and 17 cup campaigns were ended with a 3rd and 4th place in their group respectively, with the Minor League title going to North Shore both times, before season 18 saw North Shore getting another Minor League trophy, but reaching the quarter-final once again. Following this was a bit of a decline, getting 3rd in season 19, combined with a 4th placed knockout in their cup group, and getting 2nd in season 20 with a qualifying knockout of the cup. In total North Shore United/Laos won 6 Minor League trophies, winning the cup once in the process.

Small article? *Looks around* Is it behind this wall of information? Because this isn't small.

Exceptional work, I'm a sucker for infographics, it tickles a part of my brain that secretly enjoys numbers.

Solid work mate! I'd say perhaps maybe break up the paragraphs a little? It's great content but a little of an eyesore, but that is me splitting hairs.
