2025-07-29, 11:37 AM - Word count:
Krung Thep has been in existence for about 1.5 seasons now, 30 games to be exact. In those 30 games, players of the Krung Thep Football Club have scored 80 goals. That amount of goals is good for fourth in the league over that time period - not too shabby for a new expansion franchise.
Now, Krung Thep runs a two striker system with a duo of S20 recruits, Roger Roger and Dom Patterson. These two players are expected to deliver the punches as the opportunities arise, and so far it seems they have been up to the task.
Of the 80 goals scored in Krung Thep's franchise history, 21 of those have been off the foot of Roger Roger. Roger Roger is currently the leading scorer for the franchise. Dom Patterson has been just as prolific as his teammate, with a total of 19 goals over those 30 games. If we combine these two strikers together, we get a total of 40 goals, or an exact 50% of all 80 franchise goals. No other player in the franchise's 1.5 seasons has more than 6 goals in total.
I'm not sure how 50% stacks up related to the average of other teams, but it seems like a lot to me. If a team is playing Krung Thep, there is a 1 in 2 chance that a goal will come from those two players.
If there is ever a time where the phrase "1-2 punch" is appropriately used, it is in this situation.
