Debut Match Interview

So, we are sitting down with Thomas Schwarte. One of the Port Royal players that made their debut this week during the first academy matches of the season.

I: First of all welcome. It was a great season opener for you guys at Port Royal. Winning 7-3 and also giving your first assist of the season. How does that feel for you?
TS: Well to start off I would like to thank the gaffer forhaving confidence to start my in the starting line. It feels great to have my first assist this early in the season and then also winning our first match in the way we did, pfew. It bodes well for us for our future matches.

I: With an average rating of 7.6 you were on the lower half of your team. What do you think that you will have to improve for the next match?
TS: Well, I think I will have to improve my corner taking. Today most didn't hit there target and that caused us to not be dangerous enough in those situations. I think that we can score a lot more when I get my targets right.

I: The next match will up on coming monday. How do you feel going into that match?
TS: Well I think, looking at our current result, we will be the favourites. However it is still early days and only one match doesn't say anything. We will have to see how the other team plays. But I do think that our strenghts will be a big part of us, hopefully, coming out on top.

I: Thank you. Do you have something more to add to our interview?
TS: Well I would like the fans for their support. Especially in our home games it truly helps us getting a good result and I want to say we will be doing everything we can to get some good results this season!

I always am a sucker for interviews. This one felt more like a "Q&A" since the interviewer persona didn't engage with the Schwarte's responses, but I felt the questions were high-quality and the responses were insightful. The use of data pushed it over the edge from a 3, but some more development of the concepts would lead to a stronger piece overall.
