Academy prospect Scott Macleod has certainly started his season flying. Scoring 2 equalising goals in back-to-back games, the young Scot is shaping up to be one to watch.
We sat with Macleod after Victoria Falls Eagles 2-1 victory over Stockholm IK to learn more.
Q: Scott, 2 goals in 2 games so far, how are you feeling?
“I’m buzzing!” he laughs. “It’s great being able to help the team, and repaying the trust of the manager to let me get into these positions to score with these goals, yeah I’m feeling good”
Q: Walk us through that last goal
“I didn’t need to do much! The quality in the team is obvious, so I just had to make sure I was in that position and I knew I’d get the chance. Luke (Walker)’s pass means all I had to do really had to think about was getting my shot on target. Which thankfully I did.”
Q: How’s the team feeling after this latest result?
“Everyone’s really happy, we’ve had a good start to the season and we’re all just looking to build on what's there.”
Q: And what’s next for Macleod?
“Just keep my head down, keep getting better. I’m focused on helping the team no matter what, be it scoring goals or playing deeper in the build-up.”
