Cagey affair goes Eagles way
#1
In a close match-up between Victoria and Istanbul it was the Eagles side that took all 3 points to jump to 3rd in the table with 17 points. Victoria will be glad that their possession orientated buildup allowed them to create just enough chances to win the encounter 2-1.

Istanbul did manage to strike first and early, a free kick caused chaos in the Eagles box before Marius headed in the opening goal in the 7th minute. Eagles manager was clearly frustrated by this with this being another set-piece conceded from the team.

Eagles leveled the match in the 11th minute after Gohil put it on a plate for Connor Reed who continued his fine form this season by poaching his 9th goal of the season. Reed has so far got a great finishing record of managing to score 50% of his shots on target, putting himself high in the shopping window of the upcoming draft for any side who need a striker who can finish.

The winning goal came in the 39th minute after Gohil made a positive run down the left hand side of the pitch occupying 2 defenders in the process. He laid the ball back to Walker who split the defence open with a lovely slide-rule pass back to Gohil who made no mistake and tucked it away with easy. The rest of the match ticked along with no clear chances from either team being taken and 2-1 it stayed.

MOTM: Gohil - Goal and assist shows his danger when he gets the ball and his ability to create or finish chances mean he will always be near the top of the list of opposition managers "problems to solve".

I enjoyed the recap of the article -- it had a solid narrative and logical structure. However, I felt like the engagement with the material wasn't too in-depth and felt that is what prevented it from a top score.
