With the season now at an end and all eyes on the upcoming draft it's time to look at 5 players VFE are hoping to see drafted high next week.
While VFE may of looked like a struggling mid table team this season when you look past the growing pains of the start of the season and the dire problems at the back VFE were an incredibly strong team up front that had the potential to outscore any team in the league, below are the 5 players I believe where the biggest reasons behind this
1) Luke Walker - With the 3rd highest TPE and attitude that matches Luke should be an obvious pick early on and arguably in the running for the 1st overall pick next week, with 4 Assists from midfield and 12 Key passes up front and 28 tackles and 21 interceptions further back he's the perfect pick for any team needing to shore up their midfield for the seasons to come and incredible value for any team looking to rebuild , it was an asbolute joy to share the field with Luke this season and has a very high chance of being the first player from this draft who will evetnually set foot in the majors
2) Adi Gohil - Slightly lower down the list but still a very solid 1st round pick or absolute steal at 2nd we have Scott, with a combined G/A of 13 and the 3rd higest average rating of season on a somewhat struggling VFE you have to wonder what numbers Scott could put out on a high firing team, a perfect pick for a struggling team looking for a consistent high performance or teams higher up the standing looking for an immediate high impact supersub
3) Connor Reed - at 3rd we have Connor, with an estimate between 2nd-3rd round this pick is the riskiest of the 3 but with a huge ton of upswing potential, the 3rd highest goalscorer may struggle to find his feet in a league already heavily stacked up front, will he be able to carve a name for himself against the best or find succcess in new role, only time will tell, perfect for any team loves to take risks this player either has the perfect mindset to climb the ladder or an arrogance that will be his downfall
4) Scott Macleod - At 4 we have Scott Macleod, another high value second rounder with a combined 10 GA and an average rating of 7.25 it's hard to see any downsides with this pick, a consistent performer perfect for any team regardless of rebuilding or pushing for trophies
5) Billy Bobby - And lastly we have Billy, with a combined 8GA and a POTW performance to his name this pick shows incredible value in the later rounds, a consistent TPE earner don't be put off by the lack of noise around this player
