I love the gradient and the idea here! Additionally, the font colors matches the team logo nicely. Only thing is that I feel more can be added here, particularly in terms of structure and background. Maybe adding the home field as a background can add to the banner as a whole, including some more framing elements to organize the player name, number, and position. Finally, a portrait with a clear view of the player's face can give a better subject for the name of Luke Walker.
