Sometimes, you run out of ideas. Sometimes, you end up going through the motions and feel a bit stuck. Sometimes, you need a good kick up the behind to kick things into gear. Larv Itar has been feeling like he's going through the motions, like something is amiss in his life. But Larv...Football is life, and yes, that might be true, but what do you do when the lights are off, the roar of the crowd quiets down and the electricity of the stadium runs down. It's time to look inwards, towards family, towards friends and the connections around us. That is what Larv Itar is seeking to do, as Thanksgiving approaches and many of the American players head off home, Larv takes the time to visit his adoptive parents in a little suburb outside Birmingham. It's strange being back home after all this time, but Larv looks forward to it. A sense of familiarity, comfort and an ease he hasn't felt in some time. The warmth that some of the little things have stayed the same, while so much has changed is comforting in this big wide world of soccer. Everyone should take time to check in on their loved ones, friends, family and enjoy the time that they can have with them.
