The Rova Rover

What a run here for Rova as they take up the mantle of a 7-1 record after a huge comeback win against Cairo yesterday. It was back and forth for a while, Cairo throwing up 3 goal early on, but Kalinins and Tank Denstro returning in kind. That’s how it would stay going into half-time, but in the second half, it would be all Rova. The second ranked squad would demonstrate why as they racked up the scoring opportunities, dominated the set pieces, and goaded Cairo into taking a fatal red card penalty. With 10 on, there was nothing stopping the onslaught. The game would end 5-3.

Kalinins ripped one in from around the penalty area early on, and that would be his first goal of the season after some incredibly unlucky bounces have kept his 5 other shots on target from reaching the... target. With his recent acquisition of a new left foot, his playmaking and center field distribution have been a gamechanger, with the ability to advance the play from any angle with speed. Rova have made a name for themselves with their tictactoe style of offense, dominating defenders by passing into space and using their speed to run onto the ball. Quick off the foot, leaving no chance to get into position.

Rova has been on quite the season, Kalinins must be loving it there.
