2025-11-30, 02:59 PM - Word count:
After having two disapointing results in a row, Bob Berendsen and his Paris teammates wanted to regain their confidence.
To get back to winning ways and show everyone they were still top dogs.
Having watched both the CS Rova and Kaapstad game before (which they both lost) the game meant even more for the team.
If they win they will be 6 points ahead of Rova again and a whopping 11 points clear of Kaapstad.
A beautiful way to go into the second half of the season.
The game started off very strong for Paris as they bagged 2 goals in 13 minutes, it was looking like a cakewalk.
However after those 2 goals, nothing seemed to be going right. Not for Paris and especially not for Bob.
Or let me rephrase that, actually everything was going right for Bob.... except for the final product.
He might have had the best game of his career, he was everywhere. He got shots that the goalkeeper just barely saved, he shot the post twice and hit the bar once.
He gave great crosses that almost lead to goals.... That was just the thing, every single thing was almost.
Then London scored a penalty and suddenly it was 2-1 and Paris appeared to be cursed.
Fortunately London never again looked to score however the match should not have been this close.
Paris ended with 44 shots and an xG of 6...
We need to be better.
