It's matchday 10 already! Almost at the halfway point. Today we have the English Inter London against Canadian Montréal United. The last meeting between the two was in the cup qualifiers, which led to a clinical 2-0 victory for the London based team. The two meetings ended in a 1-2 and an earth shattering 2-13 win for Montréal. Only goal scorer for Inter, Bob Kronkowski is no longer with the team so it's time for the other players to step up.

We play in the Vientiane Complex, Inter London lost their last match here 7-0 against AS Paris. Montréal has seen mixed results seeing a 2-3 loss against Seoul and a 5-3 win over Krung Thep. In terms of form, London lost 4 of the last 5, the only win being against Montréal. The Canadians have won their previous two matches.

Right from the kick-off, it's Montréal with the immediate urge to go forward. Keeping the ball for the full first minute. The attack ends with Schmidt who defeats Gun Jr for a first minute goal! However, the assistant raised his flag and the VAR confirmed it was offside. That would have been a dream start for Montréal.

It looks like Inter has woken up from this moment, taking control over the match. In minute 7, Paya crosses to Cain and he gets floored in the box. The referee is called up to the screen to check the penalty moment. After a long watch the penalty has been confirmed and Corrigan gets away without a yellow. Meanwhile it's Kovács who's claiming the ball, will his previously missed penalty still haunt him? He takes aim, walks up and SCORES! Talvik picks the right corner but the ball is unstoppable, a great penalty.

London kept up the pressure, in the 18th minute it was Gagne alone in front of the keeper, and SCORES! But again this time it's looking like offside. VAR is very busy these first 20 minutes and cancels another goal. It is still 1-0

Minute 25 sees a corner for London, the ball gets cleared, Paya is looking to shoot but gets handled by Tepoztli. The referee blows his whistle for another penalty kick for Inter London! VAR confirms the decision and Montréal are fuming. This time it's Shai Madueke who claims the ball, this time Talvik picks the wrong side this time and Maudeke doubles the Inter London lead.

10 minutes later it's Alves that dribbles past the defense and finds Tepoztly in his way. Last named wins the ball and Alves goes down. The referee blows for yet another penalty kick. However this time VAR is on the Canadian side and overrules the decision. London keeps up the pressure in the first half but fails to create much danger.

The second half goes underway with fresh faces O'Neill and Volkan for Madueke and Cain. Bob Kronkowski is allowed a half of game time against his former team, he replaces Kim Minjeong.

London continues what it was doing in the first half, putting on the pressure. Kovács intercepts and moves the ball to O'Neill. After 14 stations, Alves sends Cappellari deep and he spots a completely free Kovács in the center He finds no trouble bagging his second goal of the game after 52 minutes. 3-0!

Montréal is seemingly more interested in playing football after the third goal, tripling their created chances. It's however Inter London that deals another blow. After a long break Kovács tries a shot at goal, but finds O'Neill in his way who redirects the ball behind Talvik for a fourth time. Surely it's game over for Montréal now..

It's now minute 66, Silakka gets sent deep and finds himself alone in front of Stun Gun Jr. With no hesitation Silakka beats the goalie with a low shot in the corner. Montréal finally managed to do something in return! 4-1

It goes from bad to worse for London, Cappellari is forced off with an injury, hopefully it is nothing too serious. London Supersub takes his place.

We have definitely entered the part where Montréal is much stronger, creating a lot of chances. It's Tepoztli on the right side, he sends a low cross to Silakka who manages to make his second goal of the game. Montréal means business with just under 15 minutes to go!

Silakka is very close to a hattrick but the shot gets blocked and goes wide. Eventually the Canadian storm dies down, after 95 minutes it is Inter London that is victorious once again! A clenched 4-2 win over Montréal.

Ozzy Trent Kovács finds himself player of the match with two goals and an assist.

The next match for Inter London is against majors team Shanghai Dragons for the SSL cup. That will be a very tough challenge for this London squad who on paper are many times weaker than the Chinese opponent.
