Hello everyone! I think that the draft is coming up in a couple weeks so I wanted to get a head start and throw out some common scouting answers that I can think of.
Firstly, my player (Austin Morley) is currently a CD (I think? Maybe CDM?) I created as this for two reasons. The first is that when I played pickup soccer back in the day, I typically played defense because my ball handling skills were essentially nonexistent but I was quick and really liked challenging for the ball. The second reason I decided to create as a defensive player is because I am under the impression that teams are more likely to draft defensive players early due to their scarcity? I’m a sucker for trying to be a first round pick.
Secondly, to piggy back off the second part of the first point, I am eager to please and will almost certainly swap to any position needed if it helps my draft stock.
Third, I’m most interested in either strong individual performance or strong team performance, but not really anywhere in the middle. If the team is trash but my player is good, that’s okay. Inversely if the team is great but my player is bad, that’s fine too. I’m definitely not interested in having a bad player on a bad team (but who is I guess?).
Finally, locker room activity isn’t a huge priority for me. I’ll pop in daily to check in on the team, but at this point I don’t have much interest in being part of a war room or helping revive a dead locker room of that makes sense.
I’d still love to have conversations with anyone and everyone. To me that’s the most fun part of the scouting process so please reach out to me if you want to chat!
