Match Review Mpanjaka vs Krung Thep FC:
Mpanjaka suffered their first loss of the season in matchday 2 losing their battle vs Krung Thep FC.
This loss brings further attention to their biggest concerns even coming out of MD1, which is their lack of finishing. In MD1 Mpanjaka could only score 1 goal despite creating several big moments and having an xG of 1.4. It was pretty much a similar story this week as they could only score once, and just miss one big chance after another.
The Front 4 of Small-Zweig-Rocket-Zeagle has yet to impress in the two games, and while its really early to pass any judgements, Mpanjaka managers will be watching the synergy between the four very closely these upcoming weeks because if this concern persists, they will need to fix it.
Aside from that, Mpanjaka really played the game how they always do. Control the ball and tempo, be patient with it, make the right passes. If the finishing was there, this game could’ve easily been a dominating win for them.
It’ll be a delightful win for Krung Thep however, as they get their first win of the year! Conceding in the 3rd minute was scary but their players showed character and the will to win as they replied back with a goal in 27’ and went into the half tied. But the Half-Time changes by their manager completely changed the momentum of the game. Krung were creating better chances and it didn't take long for them to take the lead and eventually the win with a late penalty.
