Oh dear god it’s Sunday and I didn’t do stuff whoopsies. But hey there’s always time!
This season has been far less... successful than the last? We’ve been losing tight games, drawing tight games, and not really converting wins. Hasn’t really been any offense, seems to have dried up almost entirely since our prolific season last time around. Liffey has been doing alright, so the system is certainly working, but it’s now a game of individual successes over full team chemistry. I’ve continued to pick away at my earning, a couple weeks at a time, and eventually it all comes together, but this season really has been represented by the slog. Slogging away on these words, slogging away on the TPE, and slogging our way through every game.
It’s definitely been hard to stay as interested with so few games, and with no real incentive to put out my smaller, tighter thoughts, now every word is in itself just a word. Sure, those with plentiful thoughts and lengthy, flowery ones at that deserve the accolades that their time and efforts take, but for me, with my terse style and my lack of real depth, I’m certainly a bit taken out of the game. But I’m sure it’ll come back another week, but not this one!
