A long season - too long. Cataluna were in the lead for the whole way until the last week, when a crushing loss left them with the play-in promotion rather than just taking it. However, Liffeyside have struggled and the match was scheduled. And what a match it was, for the ages. Tied at Full Time. Tied again after Extra Time. and finally into extended kicks after the first five could not decide the matter. At the end of the day, Cataluna stood victorious, and ready for the first division.
Fry considered the situation - we have not done any research into the first division, but our attacking potential is excellent. Despite lacking a dedicated striker, we have been pouring in goals from every position... with the possible exception of center forward. Fry's suggestion of four wingers and two attacking midfielders to counteract this problem was rejected.
For the coming season, Fry has planned a few upgrades - mainly to bump up Work Rate, Dribbling, and Finishing. Surprisingly last season Fry was the team leader in tackles, so that's another option for the upcoming campaign. It also seems likely that Fry will finally get the upgrade to fully integrate the Right Attacking Midfield position into his playbook. Overall, Fry is optimistic about the upcoming season.
