Post-Draft Gems and Idle Commentary
#1
I haven’t really paid much attention to the league calendar since my Draft season, so to my surprise, it’s Draft Day today! So I’m going to throw some words together here on the Draft, as it’s happening, and without knowing what is actually happening. I would not consider this a Mock Draft by any means, and it will most certainly look super dumb in currentspect or retrospect.

I’m not super familiar with all of the money league names, and I’m sure there’s a million people I’ll miss out on. I’m also now noticing that players have teams beside them and I don’t know whether they’ve just been input really fast, or I’m silly, but I’m going to largely ignore teams needs and stuff, this is a quickie.

Metafiction is certainly that dog, and should have been (I assume they were?) a top pick. CDM is a very influential position, they’re the top earner, healthy bank account, and even though I can’t pick it out of my brain right now I’m 95% sure they have a very important SSL Job. Sköldpaddor is another great sim league name, and I know I said I was going to ignore teams, but seems to have gone to the same team as our aforementioned Metafiction. Joining them (is?) a huge bank balance in rrf_1, so they should be in for some major TPE between that trio.

Sadie was much lower on the TPE list but should be a huge steal of this draft, and should make an excellent wingback. I know them and their excellent work in VHL, and there are very few people that bring such a positive influence wherever they end up as sadie. Huge win for Masques.

Rova picks up booshh_ and Potato, a goalie and a wingback repectively, and I’m not super familiar with either (I think??), but I’m certainly excited to have them in the system, and hope to play alongside them for a long time! Lots of work for us to do as an organization, and I hope they’re ready to help us take on that challenge!
