After 230 appearances across all competitions, most of them done under the SfV/MTL umbrella, the time has finally come for Erik Beermann to hang up his boots. A long career has come to an end and will in the future only be looked at in the history books, although with no silverware to show or any records broken, who knows if in a few seasons time the name won't be remembered anymore. For Beermann the time has now come to return back home to Germany after having spent the last few seasons up in Canada with Montreal.
Beermann's career consisted of 230 Games played. 1 Player of the Match award. An average rating of 6.96, with 15 goals and 17 assists. But most importantly, the one thing he was known for the most: His aggressive defending. 555 completed tackles from 751 attempted tackles and 548 interceptions. As well as 56 yellow cards and 3 red cards, putting him just 1 red card shy off of the tied record holder Nifemi Anjorin.

As a user I want to thank all the people that have helped me over Erik's career. This was my first ever player on any sport sim related league and it introduced me into a wonderful little hobby, if you can call it that. Sadly I didn't manage to focus myself on this as much as I would have liked to, losing interest and motivation a few times along Beermann's career. Still I had a great time and my time with SfV and MTL were great. It was some good fun and I hope to see some of you again once I return to the pitches of the SSL.
