A painful start, and shortage on the data team...

We're back from our trip to Schwarzwald, and... Predag is tired.
The job of a striker is already not easy, and with the way we want to play at Romana, his job up top is even more tiring : running through spaces, anticipating the defensive line, being clinical when the chance comes... But what we discovered is that he was working alone as an analyst and tactician for the team for the past three seasons. Like, ten games a season, for two teams, and the Cup games, for three seasons ! The amount of time and dedication that it takes to even manage to do it for a tournament is difficult, I can say it as I've done that for my uni team at our futsal tournament, and I could resort to do this because I didn't even play... He had to do all of this alone, after each match, planning the training sessions accordingly, studying the opposition, running through different scenarios and all of that, ALONE.

There was something that I didn't understand in our Major team poor run of form, like how we ended up that bad with only one win in five games. But then I remembered that the season was extended to fifteen games (yeah, five more games), as we'll be facing each other team three times instead of two. The problem is, they had to cram all of it into the current season, which means fewer time to train, and games happening really fast. There is not enough time for him to prepare the analysis we usually need for the games. This is surprisingly new, and the start is really tiring, but let's just hope we can turn this around together...

UPDATE ON THE ARTICLE : Predag explained me that this poor start of the season is actually not linked to tactics, just us being dealt a bad hand. Even in the last game we did great but even with that we conceded two goals, so it probably is just luck not being on our side.

I'd have loved to help, but my computer is not good enough for data analysis. And with almost all of my savings gone into a special training coach for this season, there is not much left.

With that, I guess I'll return to the sticker factory to see if I could lend a hand or two, or maybe help Ryan with his workload. Tonto really didn't look very happy about this and I'm worried about what the ginger Roy Keane might do to our OM...
