Mixed hopes, full push...

This Cindrella run ended... because we got hopes about promotion playoffs.

We were doing surprisingly great before the last three games. Granted it was not going that well in the league, to the point that we were joking about going for that 1oa championship, but we were doing okay at least, when we're not screwed by lucky early goals or set-pieces.

Then we won against Tenochtitlan, and we started dreaming. The progression was amazing, in the second wave we conceded only one against Liffeyside, from the 6-2 we suffered in the opening game of the season. and we started dreaming of reaching the promotion playoff spot if we could sustain this rhythm until the end of the season.

When we entered that third and final wave, this hope gradually grew in the back of everyone's mind, and little by little, we lost focus on the Cup. We won 4-0 against Liffeyside at the start of the third wave, then 1-0 against Tokyo, and all of a sudden we couldn't stop it anymore. We were within reach, and if we keep that form we can pull an amazing season story where we get both the Cup and a promotion to the top division.

Then came the Cup game and let's be honest here : we got screwed and unlucky. The coin flipped so bad against us that Coin Flip scored an own goal to put them in the lead. And there is also the disallowed goal for almost nothing, and the first goal that is so silly I'm starting to feel happy that Tumelo will be the starter from next season onwards (idk if there is a vote for the banner competition, if there is I'd want you to go vote for this one). Thankfully, that went from painful to funny when seeing how fast VAR was to validate Liffeyside's third and fourth goals, even brewing suspicions of bribery.

Anyway, the Cup is over now, let's push for promotion !

Oh, and I almost forgot, I'll finally start a game to bring London back to the top spot ! Go Go  ! (maybe it deserves its own article, when I'll find the time I'll write it... if not it will be for the off-season then !)
