As many you should know by know , I am Canadian and with the world cup happening very soon. What this means to mean becoming a fan of football in this last year or so being so involved with hockey all my life. Having the World cup in Canada , USA and Mexico i think is huge for the Sport especially in North America. Canada as a country hasn't been a super giant in producing talent compared to hockey but hopefully this world cup inspires people and players to Join the local clubs or even just get into the sport of football. Something going have to change with the developing systems of the nations as compared to england has so many huge clubs have Youth Squads and development systems for the younglings to start at such a young age. For Canada i think they need to implement this system somehow even if its connected to MLS Clubs all over North America gotta start a system somewhere, where the talent can develop fully. As for the Matches this upcoming World Cup Canada play Bosnia First game not sure how to predict. Davies is missing the game i hear and one of the most important players to the Canadian Squad. In the last 4 years some players have stepped up such as David and others. Bosnia Knocking out Italy in the qualifiers not sure how to predict that . I think canada wins 2-1 against Bosnia, The home crowd in the first game is going to be a huge boost for the canadians . 2nd game Canada plays Qatar i think that is a pretty easy match for canada should win that game pretty easy like 2-0 or 3-0 but again you never know. With 6 Points in the Groups so far the last match is against Switzerland in group stage. Switzerland is a very good balanced team Canada is going to struggle. With players like Granit Xhaka on the pitch having a huge part in Sunderland being where they at in the premier league. Xhaka experience and leading is going to transfer to the world cup i see Switzerland beating Canada 2-1. Canada should Promote to the playoffs ideally i think 3 teams in that groups will advance to the playoffs In my opinion of Course.
