We are looking to hire a new addition to the audit team. We check the submitted tactics for any rule violations. The majority of the workload will be on Mondays and Thursdays around the tactic submission deadline. 

In general the workload of an Auditor follows this schedule:
  • Submission deadline 15 Eastern Monday
  • 1 MD Tuesday: Max 12 teams to audit within a few hours more (4-9h after tactics deadline)
  • 1 MD Wednesday: Max 12 teams to audit within the next day (12-24h after tactics deadline)
  • 1 MD Thursday: Max 12 teams to audit within the next day (24-36h)
  • Submission deadline 15 Eastern Thursday
  • 1 MD Friday: Max 12 teams to audit within a few hours (1-6h)

In practice we strive to have all the tactics audited right around the deadline for the smoothest possible handover to the simmers.

The Auditor will gain access to the tactic submission sheet where all submitted tactics are shown as well as a shared folder with all submitted tactics. For each submission the Auditor should:
  • import the submitted tactic file to FM
  • click on every single player/role in the starting XI and check if any role has individual instructions
  • check with every player role if not more than the allowed players are out of their primary/secondary position
  • mark the submission as Pass or Fail in the tactic submission sheet
  • log the failed submission and its infraction in a Discord channel for BoD purview

Payment for the position is $100 000 per audited submission + a PT Pass.

Given the access to the tactic submissions prior to their deadlines, eligible users for this role are ones who are not part of any tactical war room discussions within an organization. Ineligible users include OM, AM and Tacticians. It is a requirement that you own or are able to acquire FM24.

Make sure that you have talked to and received permission from your current Organizational Manager before applying!

If you want to apply for an expansion organization together with one (1) Assistant Manager (AM), you may do so ONLY if the co-applicant also has first talked to and received permission from their current organizational manager to both talk to another user AND apply for expansion. If permission is not granted, you may not apply together.

If you are an S26 Academy player, please be clear in scouting conversations of your interest in applying as an OM or AM. If you are an S27 Academy player, you do not need permission from anyone to apply.

Expansion Managers in the Drafts
The Expansion Draft will see 1 player or pick package move from each organization to each expansion organization.

Expansion OMs are drafted automatically as the representative from an organization. As such no other player may be picked from the same organization by that expansion.

Expansion AMs are drafted in the 2nd round of the Expansion Draft. If the Expansion AM is from same organization as the Expansion OM, the organization receives the expansion organization's 2nd round pick in the S27 Prospect Draft.

If the expansion OM is an Academy player in the S27 Prospect Draft, they must be drafted with pick 15/16.

If the expansion AM is an Academy player in the S27 Prospect Draft, they must be drafted with any 1st round pick.

What is an organizational manager?
An OM is responsible for leading an organization consisting of two affiliates, a Major and Minor League roster of between 11 to 14 players. An OM may hire up to two (2) Assistant Managers (AM) that together will create the organization’s manager group to divide the responsibilities and workload among them. An OM may also hire one (1) Tactician whose sole responsibility is submitting tactics for at least one of the teams and may help with tactical discussions for the organization. The OM is the main point of contact for the organization.

The responsibilities include:
-submit tactics for games
-maintain an active locker room
-keep up to date with league rules
-keep track of organizational players and draft assets

What is the pay?
The job pay for an Organizational Manager is a weekly PT pass + $3.5 million seasonal pay.
The job pay for an Assistant Manager is a weekly PT pass + $2.5 million seasonal pay.

  • Sticker site: Created using React and Ruby On Rails.

With the recent changes to the league structure, the SSL now uses 4 separate FM files for the Major, Minor, Cup and Academy leagues, allowing us to work in parallel in regards to simming. What this means is that we now have the following weekly workload:

  • Tactic Deadlines for managers at noon Pacific / 15 Eastern / 21 CET on Mondays and Thursdays which is the earliest a simming session can start. With every tactic deadline there are between 2-4 sets of matchdays tied to it, see the SSL Calendar for a color coded example.
  • The first set of matchdays tied to a tactic deadline premiere on Youtube the day after and have slightly shorter simming deadlines in order to allow for commentary and post production, around 12-15 hours after the tactic deadline.
  • The second set of matchdays premiere at least 48 hours after the tactic deadline. What this means in practice is that there is a 36-39 hour window between the tactic deadline and the simmer deadline to record those, and the simmer of the first matchday of the set can most often technically start as early as the tactic deadline.
  • The Academy runs on a similar system with tactic deadlines on Sunday and Wednesday with premieres on Monday and Thursday respectively. No commentary is usually scheduled for those so there exists essentially a 24 hour window to sim.

As you can see, most days have the ability to be available for some form of simming. An average simming session takes 0.75-1.5 hours including importing tactics and recording the matchdays.

The formal responsibilities include:
  • Import tactics submissions to FM24
  • Record games at least once a week via OBS or other equivalent software,
  • Adhere to the Simming Guide
  • Submit timestamps of the game order to production team.

It is a requirement that you own or are able to acquire FM24. All users of the SSL, including managers may apply to the position, as we are able to restrict access to tactic submissions on a league and divisional basis.

  • The Academy runs on a similar system with tactic deadlines on Sunday and Wednesday with premieres on Monday and Thursday respectively. No commentary is usually scheduled for those so there exists essentially a 24 hour window to sim.

As you can see, most days have the ability to be available for some form of simming. An average simming session takes 0.75-1.5 hours including importing tactics and recording the matchdays.

The formal responsibilities include:
  • Import tactics submissions to FM24
  • Record games at least once a week via OBS or other equivalent software,
  • Adhere to the Simming Guide
  • Submit timestamps of the game order to production team.

It is a requirement that you own or are able to acquire FM24. All users of the SSL, including managers may apply to the position, as we are able to restrict access to tactic submissions on a league and divisional basis.
