GRADED: Interview with Louis Ashworth ahead of draft - louis - 2025-04-06 Our Sydney Sports Network correspondant Arty Deptford spoke to academy prospect Louis Ashworth in regards to the SSL draft. Deptford: Thank you for joining us, Louis. Tell me, how do you feel ahead of the upcoming draft this evening? Ashworth: Yeah, I feel good. Excited for sure, seeing as it'll be a new city, new experience, new teammates, and so on. Deptford: That's good to hear. Do you have any preference as to which club picks you up? Ashworth: Not particularly, no. As long as my teammates have the passion and the skipper has the mindset, I'll play my heart out. Deptford: Of course. Would you have any positional demands for your future team? Ashworth: Sort of, yeah. I'm an attacker, always will be, so as long as that doesn't change, I'll do what I do best. I can get the job done out wide, up front, and in the 10. Deptford: Understood. Do you think your outstanding criminal charges in Jamaica will have an impact on where you play? Ashworth: Sorry, was this not supposed to be about the draft? Deptford: And can you comment on the rumours that Badrick Blackwood V has somehow made his way out of prison and will be available for the draft? Louis Ashworth then promptly left the setup, cutting our interview short. |
